Registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Rules, 1978 (TN Act 27 of 1975), CFPD India is dedicated to empowering physically disabled players through chess — turning challenge into opportunity at national and international levels.
CFPD India began with a simple conviction — chess is a great equaliser. For physically disabled players, the 64 squares are a stage where the mind decides the contest, not the body. We bring together arbiters, administrators, doctors and coaches to build a stable national ecosystem that develops talent from district level all the way to FIDE-rated international competition.
We are affiliated to the All India Chess Federation, recognised by the Paralympic Committee of India, and work in close partnership with the International Physically Disabled Chess Association (IPCA) to give Indian para chess players a clear path to the world stage.
